If you see me in the emergency room or intensive care unit, it’s likely we are meeting during one of the most stressful and vulnerable moments in your life. As your doctor, my foremost priority is to advocate for you and provide high-quality, evidence-based care. As a trauma surgeon and surgical intensivist, I specialize in the care of surgical emergencies, traumatic injuries and critical illnesses. I consider it both a duty and a privilege to care for all my patients with excellence and compassion, regardless of background, disability, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation. Outside medicine, I enjoy learning history, cooking, scuba diving and exploring all things automotive — from automobile design and engineering to motorsports. I always welcome opportunities to share and learn about topics beyond medicine.
